Greetings Gents,

Mantova at GENOA - Got to believe that beating Juventus last week will have provided a special boost of confidence for the Mantovanis. Currently on a phenomenal strech, with just 1 loss in the last 16 games. Even more impressive is the number of goals allowed in the last 9 games, just 1 to Frosinone in week 13. Genoa represents a clashing style of an opponent who plays well at home (5W-3D-1L). They are an offensive minded club, coached by an offensive minded coach in Gian Piero Gasperini. Interestingly enough, every home match so far - except one - has produced a total output of at least 2 goals. Genoa was brutal against lowly Pescara last week in a 2-1 loss; and have already shown a tendency of poor defensive cohesion late in the match. I would not normally go against Genoa at home, but here I have no choice but to side with the visitors who are patient, and capable of exploiting a week defense when given the chance.

The play:
Mantova pk and +0.5 +106 (4.5 units)
Mantova over 2 and 2.5 +110 (5 units)

MA says: every streak must come to an end. Mantova, in all probability, might very well concede a goal to Genoa. At the same time, they should have less of a difficulty piercing this defense, which is nothing of the Juventus kind. As a result the total is not as insane as it seems (to me at least). Small play, waiting for Saturday. I have a score to setlle with Napoli..

Cheers,

MA

GENOA 2 Mantova 1
W1-1L (+1.00 unit)

MA says: a crappy Over, but I'll take it for a crappy split.
Mantova won't be the only team this weekend who's run
will come to an end...

Cheers, and good luck.

MA
